About The Position

This position is responsible for evaluating student records from other institutions to determine the applicability of transfer coursework. The incumbent will use a student-centered and equity-minded approach in all communication and service efforts, providing services that are equitable, inclusive, and culturally sensitive to enhance the quality of campus life.

Requirements

  • Equivalent to one year of experience related to academic records evaluation.

Responsibilities

  • Review student records to verify all documents have been received using PeopleSoft and imaging software.
  • Verify accreditation of previously attended post-secondary institutions.
  • Review course credit systems, grading policies, and scholastic standing on transcripts.
  • Advise students, college counselors, CSULB academic departments, and other sections of Enrollment Services on transfer evaluation, policies/procedures, and degree requirements.
  • Communicate via telephone and/or email regarding the evaluation of students' transfer coursework.
  • Organize and maintain current reference materials, including policies and procedures.
  • Create and maintain resources for evaluating transferability and GE requirements.
  • Correspond and confer with representatives of other educational institutions for clarification of policies, course information, grading, etc.
