About The Position

LSEG Evaluated Pricing Service is an independent, global evaluated pricing source covering over 3.0 million fixed income securities and derivatives. Coverage spans all major financial markets and prices are available at multiple times daily. Our evaluated prices, which provide detailed clarity and market insight, are built to support asset managers, custodian banks, mutual funds, investment banks, accounting firms, and financial research providers. The Pricing Service staff consists of over 130 fixed income professionals and support staff in 10 locations: New York, London, Paris, Tokyo, Singapore, Sydney, Bangalore, Mumbai, Gdynia, and Costa Rica. Our expert evaluators apply consistent and transparent pricing methodologies, incorporating observable market data and standard market convention practices. Securitized Products Evaluator at Refinitiv Evaluated Pricing Service is responsible for providing timely and accurate end-of-day evaluations on fixed-income securities and derivatives. Evaluations are used by banks, brokerage houses, insurance companies, and asset managers for client statements, research, risk analysis, and portfolio value.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Knowledge of private label RMBS, and more broadly fixed income valuations.
  • Understanding of technical and structural aspects of residential mortgage markets
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Quantitative and analytical skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced pressured environment with daily deadlines.

  • Programming skills with Python, VBA and/or SQL

Responsibilities

  • Daily evaluation of RMBS and ABS securities
  • Creating and maintaining market contacts
  • Perform client service for existing and prospective customers.
  • Assess the fair market value of Residential Mortgage-Backed Securities (RMBS) using contributed yield curves, trade prices, broker quotes, market intelligence, and other relevant data sources.
  • Analyze and review quality control reports to help ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of evaluations.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with market participants, including investment banks, issuers, asset managers, and brokers. These relationships serve as valuable sources of market intelligence, such as indicative bid-ask levels, new issue discussions, trade activity, and market sentiment.
  • Evaluate the quality and reliability of market data before incorporating it into valuation models.
  • Engage regularly with clients through the price challenge process and periodically meet with customers to explain pricing methodologies and valuation approaches.
  • Clearly communicate the assumptions, inputs, methodologies, and techniques used throughout the valuation process to both internal and external partners.
