About The Position

The European Trade Lane Manager role is essential in Green Worldwide Shipping's goal to develop and further its European partnerships. The role involves identifying new opportunities for inbound and outbound business pertaining to Europe, with a specific focus on Germany, Netherlands, and France. This position will be a significant contributor to the company's growth mission. The role requires a highly motivated individual to analyze data sources to identify opportunities and then develop the strategy and win theme to secure these opportunities. Additionally, the candidate will collaborate closely with agents in the UK, Germany, Netherlands, and France to develop business intelligence and ensure a smooth onboarding process for new customers, creating a positive first impression. This role will help expand the company's business globally in Europe and create a best-in-class customer experience, guided by Green's 34 fundamentals.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of supply chain/freight forwarding experience, ideally in sea/air logistics.
  • Strong Sea/Air freight product knowledge and pricing knowledge.
  • Thorough understanding of business development strategy and the sales process.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, communicating to be understood.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills including conflict management and resolution.
  • Cross-cultural competence and cultural sensitivity.
  • Self-starter with excellent planning and organizing skills who is willing to share knowledge and expertise, having a Team First mentality.
  • Understanding of continuous improvement and methodologies.
  • Strong knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong entrepreneurial spirit and ability to work without daily supervision.
  • Fluent in English.
  • German and/or knowledge of other European languages is required.

Responsibilities

  • Strategically searching and developing new sea/air logistics opportunities nationally, focusing solely on the European market.
  • Investing in relationships as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) with external and internal customers.
  • Managing various projects and tasks across cross-functional teams.
  • Traveling both domestically and internationally with the ability to work across various cultures.
  • Using Pipedrive (CRM) to target and document prospective clients.
  • Developing client strategy with appropriate Green marketing materials.
  • Acting as a product champion and subject matter expert for assigned trade lanes.
  • Serving as a liaison between branch management, sales, key customers, and Branch operations.
  • Treasuring, protecting, and promoting the Green brand.
