About The Position

Green Worldwide Shipping is seeking a motivated European Trade Lane Manager to join their growing team. This role is crucial for developing and expanding European partnerships, identifying new opportunities for inbound and outbound business related to Europe, with a specific focus on Germany, Netherlands, and France. The ideal candidate will analyze data to uncover opportunities, develop strategies to secure them, and collaborate with agents in the UK, Germany, NL, and France to gather business intelligence and ensure smooth customer onboarding. This position will contribute significantly to global business expansion in Europe and the creation of a best-in-class customer experience, guided by Green's 34 fundamentals.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of supply chain/freight forwarding experience, ideally in sea/air logistics.
  • Strong Sea/Air freight product knowledge and pricing knowledge.
  • Thorough understanding of business development strategy and the sales process.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, communicating to be understood.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills, including conflict management and resolution.
  • Cross-cultural competence and cultural sensitivity.
  • Self-starter with excellent planning and organizing skills who is willing to share knowledge and expertise, having a Team First mentality.
  • Understanding of continuous improvement and methodologies.
  • Strong knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong entrepreneurial spirit and ability to work without daily supervision.
  • Fluent in English.
  • German and/or knowledge of other European languages is required.

Responsibilities

  • Strategically search and develop new sea/air logistics opportunities nationally, focusing solely on the European market.
  • Invest in relationships as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) with external and internal customers.
  • Manage various projects and tasks across cross-functional teams.
  • Travel both domestically and internationally, with the ability to work across various cultures.
  • Utilize Pipedrive (CRM) to target and document prospective clients.
  • Develop client strategy with appropriate Green marketing materials.
  • Act as a product champion and subject matter expert for assigned trade lanes.
  • Serve as a liaison between branch management, sales, key customers, and branch operations.
  • Treasure, protect, and promote the Green Worldwide Shipping brand.
