About The Position
Jersey College is hiring an adjunct Ethics Instructor for its Nursing Program. The college seeks instructors who are passionate about teaching and take pride and ownership in student success. The instructor evaluates student learning and competence, maintains student records, participates in faculty meetings, and maintains professional qualifications through continuing education and training.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with 15 semester hours or 23 quarter hours in the teaching discipline from an accredited school.
- Master’s degree in Philosophy.
- Ability to create and maintain relationships with students and coworkers.
- Motivated and self-directed, with the ability to work as a team player.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to organize and prioritize workflow.
- Ability to supervise students in the clinical environment.
- Ability to deliver effective lessons at the level of RN or PN students.
- Knowledge and experience in the area of nursing specialty.
Nice To Haves
- Prior teaching experience is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Prepare student progress reports and grade reports.
- Maintain accurate and timely attendance records.
- Evaluate student competence based on the program’s philosophy and objectives.
- Implement evaluation tools for student learning and clinical experiences to measure progress and competency.
- Attend faculty meetings.
- Maintain professional qualifications through continuing education programs, in-service training, and academic courses.
- Perform other duties as required by the program director, program dean, or campus administration.
- Supervise students in the clinical environment.
- Deliver effective lessons at the level of RN or PN students.
