About The Position

The Ethics & Compliance Summer Intern will support the team with projects, research, and day-to-day operational tasks. Work assignments will align with the intern's academic background while contributing to the overall department needs. This role provides hands-on experience in compliance, auditing, monitoring, risk management, and cross functional collaboration. This is a hybrid role based out of our headquarters in Melville, NY; onsite 1-3 days per week as needed.

Requirements

• Education: Currently pursuing a degree in a relevant discipline such as Compliance, Criminal Justice, Risk Management, Law, Pre ‑ Law, Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Analytics, Health Information Management, Computer Science, or Statistics
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Forms, SharePoint)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Effective presentation, organizational, and analytical abilities
• Ability to work with structured data, analyze information, and identify trends
• Good time management skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to plan and arrange activities
• Interpersonal communication skills
• Good verbal and written skills
• Ability to maintain confidential and highly sensitive information
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to multi-task
• No prior experience required

Nice To Haves

• Some coursework in risk management, audit, or ethics and compliance is preferred
• Exposure to data analytics or data visualization tools, and some experience working with databases or large datasets is a plus

Responsibilities

• Assist department leadership with coordination, project support, and issue resolution
• Serve as a liaison across departments to support workflow and communication
• Conduct research, prepare documentation, and assist with compliance initiatives
• Support special projects and perform additional duties as assigned
