About The Position

The TECO Energy Student Program offers college students the opportunity to gain real-world experience in their field of study. Students can apply classroom knowledge in a professional setting, contribute to meaningful projects, and grow their careers. TECO Energy partners with accredited four-year colleges and universities to recruit motivated students. As a student intern, you will take on challenging assignments that align with your academic background and the company's business needs.

Requirements

  • Must be enrolled in an ABET accredited university as a college undergraduate or a graduate level post-secondary educational program in a related discipline.
  • Must be enrolled in the university's co-op program (proof of enrollment required) or be considered an intern if not eligible for the co-op program.
  • Required Degree: Compliance, Accounting, Finance, Business, or Law.
  • Year in School: Junior or Senior; or Graduate Student.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to act with the utmost discretion to preserve confidentiality.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred/Related Discipline: Accounting, Compliance or Law.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with tracking ethics program training.
  • Assist with quarterly expense reviews.
  • Utilize Optro/AuditBoard to assist with the administration of TECO Policies and the Compliance Management System.
  • Assist with E&C administrative functions such as preparing meeting minutes, presentations and reports.
