About The Position
The TECO Energy Student Program offers college students the opportunity to gain real-world experience in their field of study. Students can apply classroom knowledge in a professional setting, contribute to meaningful projects, and grow their careers. TECO Energy partners with accredited four-year colleges and universities to recruit motivated students. As a student intern, you will take on challenging assignments that align with your academic background and the company's business needs.
Requirements
- Must be enrolled in an ABET accredited university as a college undergraduate or a graduate level post-secondary educational program in a related discipline.
- Must be enrolled in the university's co-op program (proof of enrollment required) or be considered an intern if not eligible for the co-op program.
- Required Degree: Compliance, Accounting, Finance, Business, or Law.
- Year in School: Junior or Senior; or Graduate Student.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to act with the utmost discretion to preserve confidentiality.
Nice To Haves
- Preferred/Related Discipline: Accounting, Compliance or Law.
Responsibilities
- Assist with tracking ethics program training.
- Assist with quarterly expense reviews.
- Utilize Optro/AuditBoard to assist with the administration of TECO Policies and the Compliance Management System.
- Assist with E&C administrative functions such as preparing meeting minutes, presentations and reports.
