The Etch Equipment Maintenance Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing all hardware and process failures for a specific set of etch tools, including AMAT (DPSII, DPS, MxP, MxP+, IPS, Super E & 5200’s), Ulvac, Gasonics, Fusion Gemini & LAM (4400 & Coronus) Dry Etch tools. This role involves performing preventive maintenance, utilizing SPC charts and FabGuard Fault Detection software to monitor tool performance, and documenting maintenance activities. The technician will also assist in improving standardized work documents, maintain spare parts inventory, and contribute to the overall success of the area. Key challenges include troubleshooting complex hardware and process issues across various chambers, using FDC data for analysis, and managing multiple equipment downs with shifting priorities. This position requires strong self-motivation, the ability to take initiative with minimal supervision, and effective interaction with multiple disciplines in a 24/7 manufacturing facility. Essential skills include data analysis, troubleshooting, teamwork, and communication, along with an aptitude and desire to learn new skills and thrive in a multicultural environment. The role also involves assisting Equipment Engineers with upgrades and improvements, working with process technicians on wafer recoveries and post-maintenance qualifications, and coordinating equipment downtime with Manufacturing Leads.
