About The Position

Under general supervision of the Enterprise Asset Management Systems (EAMS) Manager, the ETAM Facility Maint Controller monitors Board systems, facilities, and infrastructure to coordinate maintenance response by implementing best practices. This role serves as a liaison between Energy, Transportation & Asset Management, other departments, and contractors. Primary responsibilities include customer interactions, assessment, and formulation of response plans utilizing computerized business support systems at the airport. The controller acts as the primary point of contact for maintenance-related inquiries and IOC and ETAM business functions, maintaining regular communications with contractors, tenants, Facilities Services Supervisors, Quality Control Technicians, and other key Airport personnel to ensure facilities and infrastructure compliance. Requirements

  • Completion of high school curriculum or equivalent.
  • Four years of experience in general maintenance or facilities maintenance environment; including experience with work order management systems and oversight of maintenance contractors or related field.
  • Two years of specific airport maintenance experience or related field.
  • Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for the above.
  • Must be able to work rotating shifts and flexible hours.
  • Ability to obtain (within 6 months) and maintain an FBI Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS) clearance
  • Possession of valid Class C driver’s license.
  • Ability to make basic mathematical computations such as addition and subtraction.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with persons inside and outside the organization.
  • Ability to assist and accurately record concerns of internal and external customers over the phone.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Sufficient geographic knowledge of the DFW area.
  • Ability to give clear and simple directions via radio and telephone to passengers, airport stakeholders, and other Board employees.
  • Ability to deal with contractor questions or problems while keeping the work order process moving forward.
  • Ability to prepare and maintain reports with accuracy.
  • Ability to make quick, accurate decisions in the absence of a supervisor.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize service requests and make appropriate assignments.
  • Knowledge of general asset management administration theory, principles, and practices.
  • Strong analytical and research related skills.

  • Must obtain a Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Airport Identification/Access Badge (badge) in accordance with Department of Homeland Security Transportation Security Administration (TSA) requirements in Chapter 49 of the Code of Federal Regulations Part 1500 et. Al. and DFW Airport’s Airport Security Program within thirty (30) days from date of employment and maintain qualification for a SIDA badge upon each badge renewal.
  • Applicants selected for this position will be required to pass a drug screening test prior to employment and to submit to drug screening on a random basis during the length of their employment in the safety sensitive position.
  • Attendance is required to maintain airport operations during an emergency or inclement weather situation.

Nice To Haves

  • Associates degree in maintenance management, engineering, or related field.
  • Two years’ experience as a maintenance scheduler.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for coordinating ETAM response for all routine, critical and/or urgent work requests received in the IOC.
  • Interfaces with service requestors and all ETAM service providers via phone, email, radio or web-based services programs.
  • Responsible for ensuring minimal operational impact to DFW operations, assets, and customer service.
  • Reviews and prioritizes all service requests to assess and determine appropriate response and action to be taken.
  • Responsible of the accuracy and completeness of the work order information by working directly with ETAM Supervisors and Quality Control Technicians.
  • Establish priorities of all facilities maintenance requests and adjust schedules to meet regular and emergency demands with Quality Control Technicians (QCT’s) and contractors.
  • Provides reports on contractor performance and partner with Facility Supervisors to evaluate contractor performance.
  • Provides direction to contractors on the steps needed to complete the work orders and coordinates work with other DFW department employees and contractors.
  • Monitors and issues work orders and ensures service provider compliance with required Service Letter Agreements (SLA) and guidelines.
  • Provides timely and accurate updates to IOC and ETAM leadership staff.
  • Provides routine and ad hoc reports to other business unit members on cost of work completed; assists in establishing and measuring performance measures
  • Administers and maintains the Maintenance Control program for facilities maintenance; gathers data on equipment, components, and instruments; generates production schedules
  • Responsible for the development and maintenance of documentation, both electronic and hard copy records and files. Updates and maintains technical documentation to ensure stays current and available for any request.
  • Prepares requisitions for routine and special purchases from vendors.
  • Maintains data tracking systems in support of established business unit performance measures; routinely publishes performance measurement status reports.
  • Provides administrative and technical support to conduct special studies, compile and analyze data and offer recommendations for problem resolution.
  • Assists in coordinating scheduled and non-scheduled power outages.
  • Participates in cross-functional teams to evaluate ETAM’s use of technology and to develop, implement, and administer new or revised ETAM solutions to automate, improve, or streamline existing business processes.
  • Will support Landside, Terminal, and Airside operational environments within the IOC.
