The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for shade structure projects of varying size and complexity. This role requires strong collaboration across departments, a thorough understanding of project documentation, and a sharp eye for identifying and mitigating potential cost risks.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Industrial Design, or a related field.
Up to 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the construction, engineering, or manufacturing sectors.
Proficiency with cost estimation methods and tools, with strong skills in Microsoft Excel and related software.
Strong analytical and mathematical skills with a high attention to detail.
Excellent organizational and time-management abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Good communication and teamwork abilities
Willingness to learn and take initiative
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

Responsibilities

Review project specifications, engineering drawings, and related documents to fully understand project scope and requirements.
Collaborate closely with sales teams, engineers, and other key stakeholders to gather essential data for comprehensive and accurate cost estimations.
Prepare detailed estimates, including labor, material, and equipment costs, for a wide range of projects.
Research and analyze historical data such as purchase orders, subcontracts, and productivity reports to develop reference materials and improve future estimate accuracy.
Identify potential cost-related risks and propose mitigation strategies to ensure accurate project budgeting.
Ensure all cost components are documented and included in final quotation packages with precision and completeness.
