The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for shade structure projects of varying size and complexity. This role requires strong collaboration across departments, a thorough understanding of project documentation, and a sharp eye for identifying and mitigating potential cost risks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Industrial Design, or a related field.
  • Up to 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the construction, engineering, or manufacturing sectors.
  • Proficiency with cost estimation methods and tools, with strong skills in Microsoft Excel and related software.
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities
  • Willingness to learn and take initiative
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

Responsibilities

  • Review project specifications, engineering drawings, and related documents to fully understand project scope and requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with sales teams, engineers, and other key stakeholders to gather essential data for comprehensive and accurate cost estimations.
  • Prepare detailed estimates, including labor, material, and equipment costs, for a wide range of projects.
  • Research and analyze historical data such as purchase orders, subcontracts, and productivity reports to develop reference materials and improve future estimate accuracy.
  • Identify potential cost-related risks and propose mitigation strategies to ensure accurate project budgeting.
  • Ensure all cost components are documented and included in final quotation packages with precision and completeness.
