AECOM is seeking an Estimator to join their team in Honolulu, Hawaii. The role involves preparing a range of estimates from conceptual (Order of Magnitude) to Detailed Estimates, adhering to AECOM Estimates and AACE Classification Class 1-5. Responsibilities include detailed take-off, cost estimating, construction methodology, crewing and productivity determination, proposal schedule generation, subcontractor/vendor solicitation and coordination, scope development, evaluation/comparison, bid day spreadsheets, bid report preparation, constructability reviews, and value engineering. Travel for pre-bids and site visits may be necessary. The position requires quickly learning company estimating systems and processes, understanding estimating terminology and project impacts, managing estimate preparation teams, collaborating with project teams on strategies, analyzing estimations for project issues, documenting assumptions, understanding financial analysis and profitability metrics, comprehending construction means/methods/sequences across multiple disciplines, and working with subcontractors on technical matters. The role also involves evaluating scope suitability, initiating Estimate Plans, preparing bid tabulations, developing estimate comparisons with historical data, analyzing cost/schedule variances, coordinating information for reports, reviewing project cost data, and communicating with various stakeholders.
