About The Position

If that sounds like you, our Estimator (Internally known as Estimator II) role could be the opportunity you've been looking for! You'll prepare and review detailed estimates for restoration and reconstruction projects, ensuring accuracy, profitability, and compliance with insurer requirements while supporting operational excellence across multiple teams. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A N ESTIMATOR As an Estimator, you play a key role in shaping the financial and operational success of each project. You review documentation, validate costs, and develop precise estimates that meet program standards and insurer expectations. Each day, you collaborate with project managers, coordinators, and office teams to identify scope gaps, resolve discrepancies, and enhance overall billing accuracy. You handle revisions, respond to reviewer notes, and provide feedback that strengthens consistency and performance across the estimating team. You mentor junior estimators, share best practices, and stay current on industry standards and pricing updates. Your technical expertise, focus, and communication skills ensure every estimate tells a complete story that is accurate, defensible, and aligned with company goals for quality and profitability.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in property restoration estimating, construction, or insurance-related work
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and comfort using digital estimating tools
  • Proficient in Xactimate and XactAnalysis with a strong understanding of estimating workflows and documentation standards
  • Xactimate Level 2 certification required with the ability to obtain Level 3
  • Solid understanding of restoration practices, building systems, and insurer protocols
  • High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Nice To Haves

  • Post-secondary education in construction or a related field
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with project teams and clients
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and French
