About The Position

Thomas Sign & Awning, an award-winning National Sign Company in Clearwater, FL, designs, manufactures, and installs illuminated and non-illuminated signage. Thomas Sign is searching for an Estimator to join our team. The Estimator would be responsible for estimating sign components such as cabinets, pylons, pole covers, awnings, window signs, and other custom-made sign assemblies using MS Access, AutoCAD, and Casmate software. The role requires the ability to work as a member of a team, help train less experienced workers, and possess a good understanding of the entire sign manufacturing process. The Estimator will interact with other departments and individuals to ensure manufactured products meet or exceed customer expectations. The ability to read and understand technical drawings and engineering notes furnished by customers is essential.

Requirements

• Good math and organizational skills
• Able to use a PC and Windows Operating system
• Able to read blueprints, shop drawings
• Basic mechanical understanding
• Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions
• Must have cooperative attitude and work well with others in a team environment
• Able to keep work area organized, neat and clean

• Sign industry experience helpful
