About The Position

This position will be responsible for preparing, communicating, and tracking all quoting activities both internally and externally.

Associates degree preferred but not required
4+ years in a similar role within CNC/precision manufacturing
Previous experience in print interpretation, quality systems and ISO/relevant standards
Previous customer service experience
Ability to write professionally for multiple outlets that conform to prescribed style and format
Ability to verbally communicate effectively
The ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
The ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule for
Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, Visio)
Experience with ERP system

To respond to RFQ’s in a timely manner
To communicate with Sales, Engineering and Supply Chain to gather information needed to quote jobs
Prepare documents needed for Quote Review
Retrieve outside sourcing quotes as needed for Quote Review
Schedule Quote Review with senior management and follow up as needed
Complete Quote Entry and communication of final quote to customer prior to deadline
To maintain database of quotes
To track jobs won/lost and report to Management on a regular basis
To trend jobs won/lost to improve accuracy of quoting process
To communicate new jobs/customers to company keeping all informed
To understand external market trends and use data when quoting
To understand internal financial resources and use data when quoting
