We are seeking an experienced Estimator/Project Manager to join our team in Hooksett, NH. This role will be responsible for estimating new project opportunities, managing projects throughout the process, and ensuring work is being completed in a timely, safe manner and within budget. This individual will build relationships with customers, crews, subcontractors, and internal team members to successfully manage projects through completion. Ideally, this individual has experience in utility construction, electrical distribution, powerline contracting, or a related field and understands the operational and financial components of successfully executing construction projects.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in project management, estimating, or operations within utility construction, electrical distribution, powerline or related construction.
  • Experience developing project estimates, bids, budgets, and schedules.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and project specifications.
  • Strong understanding of labor, equipment, and material costs.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively with field and office teams.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Develop accurate estimates and bids by reviewing project plans, specifications, and scope of work.
  • Prepare estimates for labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractor costs and assist with materials purchasing.
  • Manage utility construction and maintenance projects from start through completion, ensuring projects remain on schedule and within budget.
  • Coordinate with customers, field crews, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal leadership.
  • Monitor project budgets, schedules, costs, and overall performance and work closely with finance team on project reporting
  • Manage change orders, scope changes, project documentation, and customer billing.
  • Identify and resolve project risks and operational issues.
  • Ensure projects meet company, customer, safety, and quality standards.
  • Maintain strong customer relationships and provide regular project updates.
