About The Position

Cobra Concrete Cutting Services Co. is seeking a motivated and experienced Estimator / Project Manager for a full-time, in-office role in Wheeling, Illinois. The position manages inbound estimate requests, prepares project estimates and takeoffs, and supports the outside sales team. It works closely with company management and ownership and provides estimating support for Cobra locations and projects across the United States, as well as for a sister company in Atlanta bidding work throughout the southeastern United States. Occasional job visits and attendance at association meetings or events after hours may be necessary.

Requirements

• Previous construction, estimating, or project management experience is required.
• Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and online takeoff software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organized, with exceptional attention to detail.
• Familiarity with public bid processes, including DOT and non-DOT projects, state and municipal bidding platforms, and SAM.gov.
• Self-motivated and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong desire for long-term career growth.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and participate in random testing.
• Pass a pre-employment background record check covering seven years and periodic checks.
• Commitment to following all company safety policies and procedures.

Nice To Haves

• Experience or interest in concrete flatwork, demolition, or Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR).

Responsibilities

• Manage inbound estimate requests.
• Prepare project estimates and takeoffs.
• Support the outside sales team.
• Collaborate closely with company management and ownership.
• Provide estimating support for Cobra locations and projects across the United States, including Milwaukee/Madison, Central Illinois, Southern Illinois, Northwest Indiana, Indianapolis, and St. Louis.
• Support the sister company in Atlanta by bidding jobs throughout the southeastern United States.
• Attend occasional association meetings or events after hours.
• Make occasional job visits as necessary.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
