Estimator/Planner - Commercial Flooring

We are committed to creating a better future for our customers, our people, our company, and our communities. Shaw Industries is looking for an Estimator & Planner to join our Custom Design Studio! This person will provide our account executives, client, project designer, and carpet installer with the information, documents and carpet installation/ seaming plans to correctly order and install hospitality and commercial carpet.
Requirements
- High School Diploma /GED
- 1+ years of proven estimating/planning experience
- Minimum of 3 days a week in the Cartersville, GA office required
- Demonstrated AutoC AD/Revit knowledge required
- Ability to read and interpret architectural floor plans and specifications
- Strong mathematic al skills , including fractions, measurements, accurately reading a n d scaling architectural units
- Proficiency in geometric concepts needed to scale , measure , and draft professional quality plans
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 require d
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's Degree
- 4+ years of proven estimating/planning experience
- General knowledge of the floor covering industry
- Basic understanding of Photoshop Adobe Creative Cloud Salesforce
Responsibilities
- Interpret architectural plans to determine material requirements and installation layouts.
- Create detailed CAD installation/seaming diagrams and visual renderings using AutoCAD, Photoshop, and related tools.
- Collaborate with project managers, designers, and sales to develop accurate project plans and solutions.
- Calculate material quantities and generate formal project estimates using proprietary estimating software.
- Produce manufacturing layouts for custom carpet applications (rugs, runners, panels, borders, etc.).
- Maintain organized project documentation, logs, and deliverables.
- Perform quality checks on estimate packages and support revisions across cross‑functional teams.
- Troubleshoot project application issues with managers, designers, customer service, and installers.
- Stay proficient with software, equipment, and tools used across the Custom Design Studio.
