About The Position
The Estimator - Millwork position is a full-time role focused on producing accurate lumber and millwork material lists for residential, multifamily, and commercial projects. This role involves reviewing drawings, specifications, and other construction documents, utilizing estimating software, and adhering to deadlines. The estimator will also contribute to a positive work environment, provide exceptional customer service, and maintain confidentiality of company information.
Requirements
- Reports to the location manager/foreman
- Occasional local travel to client sites
- Occasional light lifting up to 50 lbs.
Responsibilities
- Produce accurate lumber & millwork material list per the plan
- Reviews drawings, specifications and all other construction documents
- Utilize estimating software (Bliffert / PlanSwift) for accurate material list
- Understand and adhere to deadlines
- Ability to work developing competent estimates, meeting building codes
- Contribute to a constructive working relationship with all staff, and contractors to promote a positive and productive atmosphere
- Use math skills such as basic arithmetic and geometry
- Evaluate plans for possible areas of concern
- Understand construction materials and applications
- Act as our store’s representative and provides exceptional customer service
- Protects company values by keeping financial information and plans confidential
- Creates and promotes safe work environment
- Reports injuries immediately to Manager
- Additional job responsibilities to be determined by Manager
