About The Position

TEKsystems is looking to hire an Estimator/Inside Sales representative to assist a client based in the Danbury, CT area. This position would take place ON SITE. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Danbury, CT. This is a fully onsite position in Danbury, CT.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in estimating commercial or industrial manufacturing projects.
Ability to learn new software platforms quickly.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.).
Strong analytical and mathematical skills with the ability to interpret technical documents and perform complex calculations.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in estimating and documentation.
A natural curiosity to investigate and solve problems.

Nice To Haves

Experience with boiler combustion control systems is a plus.
Familiarity with CAD software and reading electrical drawings is an advantage.

Responsibilities

Analyze project specifications, blueprints, and other relevant documents to determine the scope of work and associated costs.
Develop detailed and accurate cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and overheads. Ensure estimates are comprehensive and reflective of current market conditions.
Prepare and present formal bid proposals to clients, including detailed breakdowns of pricing.
Source and evaluate quotes from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality standards.
Identify potential risks and cost drivers associated with projects and propose mitigation strategies.
