About The Position
Our clients are self-perform heavy industrial contractors building pulp & paper, metals, chemical, power, mining and manufacturing facilities across the Southeast. Every one of them is adding estimators right now. The Estimator prepares accurate, competitive estimates from early budgets through final bid. Experienced and early-career estimators are both welcome.
Requirements
- Estimating experience on heavy industrial construction projects.
- Discipline experience in mechanical, piping, electrical/E&I or civil/structural.
- Proficiency in an estimating platform (Timberline/Sage, MC2, WinEst, HCSS or similar).
Nice To Haves
- Pulp & paper, metals, chemical or power experience.
- Multi-discipline estimating.
- Self-perform contractor background.
Responsibilities
- Preparing quantity takeoffs and estimates from drawings, specs and early engineering packages.
- Pricing labor, equipment, materials and subcontracted scopes.
- Gathering and comparing vendor and subcontractor quotes.
- Supporting bid reviews and flagging scope and risk for operations.
- Maintaining cost data from completed projects.
