As an Estimator II at Absher, you’ll lead key portions of the estimating process, develop scopes, and play a more direct role in building accurate, competitive bids. You’ll work closely with senior estimators while starting to own your work from take-offs through pricing.

Requirements

  • 3–6 years of experience in construction, estimating, or a related field
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Experience contributing to estimates for commercial construction projects, ideally in the ~$20M+ range
  • Exposure to full-scope estimating across multiple trades
  • Ability to read drawings and specifications and translate them into quantities and costs
  • Strong math skills, attention to detail, and organization
  • Clear communication and ability to manage multiple deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Develop full-scope estimates for smaller projects based on varying levels of construction documents
  • Coordinate subcontractor outreach, bid solicitation, and proposal efforts
  • Prepare detailed quantity take-offs across multiple trades
  • Develop and review unit pricing in partnership with the Lead Estimator
  • Build scopes of work for trade contractors
  • Partner with internal teams to gather, organize, and distribute project information
