About The Position
Associated Fire Protection is seeking an Estimator to develop basic project elements and assist with preparing deliverables for fire protection solutions. The role reviews and interprets project documents to estimate the scope of work, develops pricing, and supports the presentation of estimates, proposals, budgets, and bids. It also collects and correlates project cost and schedule data to determine equipment, materials, subcontracting, construction labor, expenses, and indirect costs. The Estimator manages bids and provides guidance during project planning and pre-construction phases.
Requirements
- 2 to 5+ years of experience in estimating electrical and electronic systems.
- Experience with Bluebeam or other construction management software.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
Responsibilities
- Develop pricing for basic project elements and assist in preparing key estimating deliverables.
- Review and interpret project documents and accurately estimate the scope of work.
- Evaluate, support, and/or develop the presentation of estimate proposals, budgeting, and bidding.
- Collect and correlate project-related cost and schedule data to determine equipment, material, subcontract, construction labor, expenses, and indirect costs, including quality, administrative, engineering, and taxes.
- Manage bids and provide guidance during project planning and pre-construction phases.
