About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to prepare accurate, competitive bids for commercial interior construction projects. This role is responsible for evaluating project opportunities, performing detailed quantity takeoffs, and developing comprehensive cost estimates for drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceilings, commercial flooring, and related interior systems. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of commercial construction documents, excellent cost analysis skills, and experience coordinating with vendors, subcontractors, and project teams to deliver accurate and timely proposals. Requirements

  • 3+ years of estimating experience in commercial drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceilings, flooring, or related interior construction trades.
  • Commercial interior construction estimating experience is required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Strong knowledge of commercial construction methods, materials, and estimating practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, specifications, contracts, and bid documents.
  • Experience performing detailed quantity takeoffs and cost analysis.
  • Strong analytical, mathematical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Proficiency with estimating software such as Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, PlanSwift, or similar construction platforms is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial interior construction projects, including drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceilings, flooring, and related finishes.
  • Review architectural drawings, specifications, contracts, and bid documents to determine project scope and requirements.
  • Perform accurate quantity takeoffs for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontracted work.
  • Solicit, evaluate, and compare vendor and subcontractor pricing to ensure competitive bids.
  • Identify scope gaps, exclusions, constructability concerns, and value engineering opportunities.
  • Prepare complete bid proposals and supporting documentation while meeting submission deadlines.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, field personnel, vendors, subcontractors, and clients to clarify project requirements.
  • Maintain organized estimating files, bid records, and project documentation.
  • Support project turnover by providing estimate reviews, budget information, and scope clarifications to operations teams.
  • Stay current on material pricing, labor trends, and industry best practices to improve estimating accuracy.
