About The Position
An integral team member who assists estimators in preparing construction project bids and budgets.
Requirements
- Working towards a bachelor’s degree in construction, Engineering, or other relevant fields of study.
- Must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) before participation in the internship program.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the main office.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of general construction practices.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Comfortable with Microsoft Excel.
Responsibilities
- Support the estimating team with basic plan reading.
- Support the estimating team with quantity takeoff.
- Support the estimating team with evaluating subcontractor and vendor quotes.
- Support the estimating team with evaluating historical production and cost data.
- Support the estimating team with project budget and cost tracking.
- Attend prebid / owner's meetings.
- Attend project site visits.
- Attend project bid reviews.
