About The Position

Join Eleven Western Builders, a leading retail general contractor known for innovative, quality-built construction projects across California and the western United States. We are seeking a proactive and self-driven Estimating Coordinator to collaborate closely with Project Estimators and Subcontractors. This role is crucial for coordinating the bid process from set-up to submittal, with a focus on enhancing the subcontractor and team experience. The ideal candidate is a problem-solver, team player, and highly organized multi-tasker who can manage multiple bids simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

Experience in the construction field, construction management school, or trade school.
Ability to learn how to utilize estimating software effectively.
Proficient with computer skills working with various office equipment, computers, and various programs including MS Word, Excel, Project, and Outlook.
Ability to edit/markup Adobe PDFs.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Nice To Haves

Ability to read and understand project plans and specifications.

Responsibilities

Learn Eleven Western Builders' services, processes, procedures, and business lines.
Understand and execute the estimating process, including reviewing bid invitations, setting up projects for bid solicitation, and communicating with subcontractors.
Order and distribute plans and project documents.
Process subcontractor bids and pre-qualification packages.
Learn and utilize Eleven Western Builders’ estimating software.
Build positive working relationships with the Estimating Team, Subcontractors, Project Managers, General Superintendents, and Leadership.
Proactively coordinate to support estimators, asking questions as needed.
Provide general assistance to subcontractors using the estimating software to streamline access.
Understand and provide guidance on Eleven Western Builders’ pre-qualification process to trade partners.
Work closely with the Project Estimator to provide complete bid packages to clients.
Foster positive working relationships with Clients and Architectural teams.
Gather additional required documents and materials to assemble bid packages.
Proactively communicate bid results and future opportunities to subcontractors.
Attend weekly team meetings and provide support for the estimating team.
Problem-solve in a fast-paced environment, maintaining a positive attitude and professionalism.
Consistently and proactively coordinate multiple projects from start to finish.
Foster strong relationships with trade partners and team members.
Exhibit a positive attitude and drive when working on all projects.
