About The Position

We are looking for an Automotive Road Appraiser - South Shore and Montreal for our growing team! Region: South Shore and Montreal. What you will accomplish with us: Determine the causes and origin of damage that occurred during an accident by examining the vehicle using software. The claims processed will be more or less complex, depending on the incumbent's experience. Evaluate and approve repair estimates for claims adjusters, comparing the estimate to the assessment made during the vehicle examination. May be called upon to establish the market value of vehicles based on information provided by claims adjusters, using the various tools described in the appraiser standards and procedures manual. Use automated digital appraisal systems to standardize repair estimates and avoid errors. Negotiate and communicate best practices or repair procedures. Ensure productivity and quality of service by using the appraiser standards and procedures manual and by relating performance to the quantitative and qualitative objectives of the Claims department.

Requirements

  • GAA appraiser certificate or eligibility to obtain it
  • Experience in collision appraisal or repair, including knowledge of appraisal software (Audatex and Mitchell).
  • In-depth knowledge of the principles and techniques for repairing and replacing physical damage to automobiles.
  • Commitment to continuous training.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the collision repair sector.
  • Strong analytical skills to define problems/questions, gather data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to prepare automotive repair quotes using Audatex software.
  • Open communication with shop owners, managers, and appraisers during the appraisal process.
  • Effective verbal communication skills and good written communication skills for writing claims reports.
  • Customer focus.
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada from the anticipated start date and throughout their employment and are solely responsible for maintaining their work eligibility.
