About The Position
The Sugaring Specialist / Esthetician is primarily responsible for delivering expert sugaring hair removal services, while also providing complementary skincare treatments including facials and body services. This role requires a high level of technical skill, guest care, and product knowledge to ensure exceptional results and a luxury spa experience.
Requirements
- Valid state esthetician license (required)
- Proven experience in sugaring hair removal (required)
- Strong knowledge of skin anatomy, hair growth cycles, and contraindications related to hair removal
- Previous spa and customer service experience
- Ability to build rapport and create a comfortable, professional environment for guests
- Strong communication skills with the ability to educate guests on services and products
- Professional, polished, and team-oriented demeanor
- Comfortable with retail recommendations and service enhancements
- Availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
Responsibilities
- Specializes in sugaring hair removal services, delivering safe, effective, and consistent results in alignment with spa protocols and guest expectations
- Ensures the "Arch Amenities Group Experience" by upholding all brand standards, service expectations, and guest care values
- Performs sugaring services, as well as facials and body treatments, as needed
- Customizes all services based on guest needs, skin conditions, and contraindications
- Educates guests on pre- and post-care for sugaring services to ensure optimal results and minimize sensitivity or irritation
- Maintains strict hygiene, sanitation, and universal precaution standards, especially in hair removal services
- Demonstrates advanced knowledge of sugaring techniques, skin health, and hair growth cycles
- Recommends retail products and at-home care routines to support guest results
- Suggests additional services that complement sugaring treatments
- Begins and ends all services on time while maintaining a seamless guest experience
- Maintains clean, organized treatment rooms and properly sanitized tools at all times
- Accurately documents client history, preferences, and treatment notes
- Communicates inventory needs and supports overall spa operations
- Attends trainings, meetings, and ongoing education to stay current on techniques and trends
- Reports any incidents or guest concerns to management promptly
- Performs other duties as assigned
