About The Position

Caring Transitions of La Mesa is a premier, locally owned transition firm dedicated to providing "White-Glove" solutions for seniors and families. They are seeking team members who have a heart for service and an eye for detail. The firm specializes in high-stakes downsizing, premium estate sales, and expert relocation. They are looking for professionals who believe every item in a home has a story and every client deserves a seamless transition.

Requirements

  • Lead with Empathy: You are a naturally compassionate listener who enjoys working with seniors and their families.
  • Own the Outcome: You are results-driven, curious, and never judgmental when entering a client's private space.
  • Value Integrity: You understand that "Customer Service" means treating a client's 50-year-old collection with the same respect as a luxury asset.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift 30+ pounds comfortably.
  • Valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle are essential for travel between East County project sites.
  • Consistent access to a smartphone for scheduling, time-keeping, and real-time project updates.
  • Part-time hours vary by project; please include your general availability when applying.

Responsibilities

  • Sort and organize household goods; perform research to determine fair market value for unique items (from vintage collectibles to everyday essentials).
  • Safely pack and unpack treasures, ensuring they are staged perfectly in the client’s new residence.
  • Move supplies and boxes within the home; assist with the lifting of décor and light furniture to prepare a home for sale.
  • Transform a lived-in home into a polished, high-traffic environment for professional estate sales and online auctions.
  • Use project management and auction apps to catalog inventory and track "Scoreboard" results.

Benefits

  • Directly support older adults and families in your local community during major life transitions.
  • Opportunities to hone your leadership, project management, and asset valuation skills.
  • Join a supportive, fun-loving team that values "Continuous Improvement" and celebrates every successful "Broom-Clean" finish.
  • Dynamic part-time scheduling (including weekdays and weekends) tailored to our project-based workflow.
