About The Position

ITSS owns and operates Carolina Games Summit, hosting events across the eastern United States and collaborating with numerous existing events. This is a volunteer opportunity for the collaboration with Southern-Fried Gaming Expo in Atlanta, GA, from July 31st to August 2nd, 2026. Applicants will have the chance to perform various tasks before, during, and after the event. This role is suitable for those who wish to volunteer for a few days or be deeply involved in event creation year-round.

Requirements

• A love of video games
• Strong work ethic
• High standards of quality
• Willingness to contribute to the long-term success of the event
• Must be over the age of 18 or have parental permission
• Open schedule or parental permission to volunteer
• A recommendation letter from a parent or current/former employer
• Must pass a background check

Responsibilities

• Assist tournament directors or other volunteers
• Help register attendees and answer their questions
• Test and set up equipment
• Market the event
• Introduce and manage tournament brackets
• Manage free play areas
• Provide general hospitality services such as cleanup and tear-down
