About The Position

Southern-Fried Gaming Expo Esports Volunteer opportunity in collaboration with Carolina Games Summit. This role involves assisting with various tasks before, during, and after the event, which takes place from July 31st to August 2nd, 2026, in Atlanta, GA. Volunteers can choose to contribute for a few days or be deeply involved year-round. The goal is to support the esports community and expand the number of tournaments hosted.

Requirements

• A love of video games
• Strong work ethic with high standards of quality
• Willingness to contribute to the event's success
• Must be over the age of 18, or have parental permission
• Have an open schedule or parental permission
• A recommendation letter from a parent or current/former employer
• Pass a background check

Nice To Haves

• Be deeply involved in the creation of the event helping year round
• Become a tournament director
• Become a promoter

Responsibilities

• Assist tournament directors or other volunteers
• Help register attendees and answer their questions
• Test and set up equipment
• Market the event
• Introduce and manage tournament brackets
• Oversee free play areas
• Provide general hospitality services including cleanup and tear-down
• Contribute to the long-term success of the event
