About The Position

Grand Canyon University is seeking a Student Worker to support the mission of Grand Canyon University through GCU Esports Department. In this position you will work with a team to produce live broadcast for GCU Esports competitive and community teams as a game observer.

Requirements

  • Flexible work hours including evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 20 pounds of equipment.
  • Proven knowledge and williness to learn collegiate esports titles and gaming systems.
  • Demonstrated passion for esports gaming.
  • Ability to work in a team setting.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism in a high energy, fast paced environment.
  • Outstanding communication skills.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Valid Drivers License and Clean Driving Record
  • Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor's program or Master's program
  • Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master's level student
  • Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University

Responsibilities

  • Setup and test equipment.
  • Communicate with team members during broadcast.
  • Gain knowledge of game analytics for VALORANT and Rocket League.
  • Attend and participate in weekly meetings for broadcast.
  • Other responsibilities as they apply.
