About The Position

About the Role and Program The Programming department's Mission is to create, acquire and schedule premier content to engage fans and maximize audiences on all platforms. We lead the development of sport strategies across the company and manage constructive relationships with our colleagues in other departments and with our league partners and organizers. This is a 10-week program based in Bristol, CT from June 1 st – August 7 th What You will Do Provide support to the VP of Women’s Sports Programming & espnW on initiatives focused on expanding women’s sports and enhancing the espnW ecosystem Monitor and manage the progress of multiple projects, ensuring alignment with overall objectives and timelines Coordinate with internal stakeholders to maintain key project milestones and ensure timely completion of deliverables Stay informed on internal business developments as well as emerging trends within women’s sports and the broader sports industry to inform programming decisions

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing multiple projects with strong attention to detail
  • Exceptional written and interpersonal communication skills, clearly conveying ideas and information to diverse stakeholders
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong relationship-building skills with both internal and external partners
  • Creative problem solver with initiative, sound judgment, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
  • Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
  • Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Possess unrestricted work authorization
  • Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
  • Fully available from Monday through Friday for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week.

Nice To Haves

  • De monstrated passion for women’s sports, current trends, and ESPN properties
  • Experience in sports media, programming or related field (academic or internship)
  • Major or previous coursework in Business, Communications, Sports Media or related major preferred
