About The Position

The BCS Education Center is seeking a part-time ESOL Instructor to teach an English course integrated with job training in hospitality for the restaurant and hotel industries. Classes meet Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings, for a total of 10 contact hours per week. The instructor will also dedicate 5 hours per week to lesson preparation and 1 hour per week to staff meetings. The instructor will focus on helping adult learners achieve measurable skills-gain, testing, and retention targets while fostering an engaging and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• Certificate or higher in TESOL
• Knowledge of TESOL methods and techniques
• Experience working with multicultural adult learners
• At least one year of teaching experience, preferably in a community setting
• Availability to teach Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings
• Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 unless an exemption is granted as a medical or religious accommodation.

Nice To Haves

• Language skills in Spanish, Arabic, and/or Chinese are preferred
