This position involves teaching English as a Second Language to Multilingual Learners (MLs) in various settings including ESL classrooms, vocational classrooms, and co-teaching in Sheltered English Immersion (SEI) classrooms. The role requires collaboration with co-teachers for planning, assessment, and reflection, and teaching students at different English proficiency levels aligned with WIDA Standards. The teacher will also be responsible for developing ESL curriculum, administering assessments, creating language-focused lessons, communicating with families, and working with the Special Education department on IEPs for dually identified students. Additionally, the role includes fulfilling contractual duties, meeting instructional requirements, creating a conducive learning environment, preparing lessons, managing student behavior, implementing district educational philosophy, assessing student progress, maintaining confidentiality, professional development, attending meetings, and performing other assigned duties.
