The ESL Teacher will be responsible for developing and implementing lesson plans that fulfill the requirements of the district's curriculum program, reflecting accommodations for different learning styles. This role involves presenting subject matter according to established guidelines, establishing efficient classroom management, and maintaining standards of pupil behavior. The teacher will evaluate and record student progress, teach within the prescribed course of study, and plan lessons leading to subject area objectives. Additionally, the ESL Teacher will identify pupil needs, cooperate with staff to address student issues, and be available for counseling with students and parents. This position also involves interpreting educational programs to the community, coordinating paraprofessional staff when applicable, and participating in the evaluation process.
