Elementary Teacher Grades K-4
About The Position
The teacher will be responsible for integrating faith and Catholic values into all areas of learning while conducting standards based instruction and assessment in engaging lessons. Creates a positive, classroom environment that is exciting, conducive to learning, and appropriate to the maturity and interests of students. Plans daily and long-term learning activities consistent with the Diocesan curriculum to meet the individual needs, interests, and abilities of students. Works to establish and maintain open and timely communication with students and their parents regarding academic progress. Be responsible for the safety and active supervision of students at all times and for classroom management. Assess and document student progress. Participate in faculty meetings, committees, and professional development opportunities. Work collaboratively with other teachers, staff, and administration. Integrate technology effectively into the classroom.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from an Accredited College or University
- State certified or certifiable
- Ability to communicate effectively with parents
- Ability to use technology effectively
- Appreciation and respect for the Catholic Church and its teachings
- Conduct oneself in a manner that is consistent with and supportive of the mission and purpose of the Church
