About The Position

This role serves as the central administrator for data collection within the ESL program, managing various assessment data, federal grant requirements, and reporting. The position involves creating data tracking and analysis processes, developing user-friendly reports, and managing communication, registration, and production for professional development sessions. It also includes processing assessment information, collaborating with ESL teaching staff on student assessments, maintaining tracking systems for students exiting the program, and assisting with data collection for student assessment and recordkeeping. The role requires staying current with state and federal developments for program compliance, monitoring enrollment trends, and acting as the primary contact for translation services. Additionally, the position supports the administrative team with projects and initiatives, demonstrating integrity, dependability, sound judgment, attention to detail, resourcefulness, and a customer service mindset.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education, required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years successful teaching experience required.
  • Knowledge of data and assessment relative to education in Pennsylvania and specifically to English Learners required.
  • Very strong office technology skills required; including Word, Excel, Publisher, and PowerPoint; as well as a robust familiarity of online resources and assessments.
  • Ability and experience in working as a member of a team required.
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail required.
  • Excellent oral/written communication and interpersonal skills required.
  • Current Act 114, Act 34, Act 151 and NSOR Clearances required prior to an offer (Must be dated within 1 year of hire date).
  • School Personnel Health Record (Form H511.340) must be completed and received by Human Resources prior to hire date.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree preferred.
  • Program level administration experience and experience/certification in the teaching of English Language Learners (ELLs) preferred.
  • Pennsylvania supervisory certification and/or K-12 principal certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as the central administrator for data collection within the program, including annual and benchmark assessment data for students, new student evaluation results, and data collection, management, and reporting associated with Title III federal grant requirements.
  • Creates data tracking and analysis processes to fully utilize assessment information and develops processes for reporting data in a user-friendly and accurate format.
  • Creates invitations and advertising for services and professional development offered by the program and explores avenues for successful marketing efforts.
  • Handles all aspects of communication, registration, and production of professional development sessions.
  • Processes, records, and organizes all incoming assessment information and prepares all correspondence to school districts containing this information, improving internal processes for storage, organization, and preparation.
  • Collaborates with the ESL teaching staff on the assessment (WIDA Screener, ACCESS, and Las Links) of students and the submission of assessment data.
  • Establishes and maintains a tracking system for students exiting the program and entering into their monitoring period.
  • Assists with the annual realignment process and coordinates procedures involving on-going data collection for student assessment and recordkeeping for enrolled students.
  • Assists Program Director with maintaining current knowledge of developments at the state and federal levels to ensure program compliance and appropriate district correspondence, monitors enrollment trends, and reviews emerging literature and developments to develop appropriate program responses.
  • Serves as the primary contact for translation services as purchased through the AIU K-12 ESL Program.
  • Supports the program’s administrative team with projects and initiatives as directed.
  • Demonstrates integrity, dependability, sound judgment, attention to detail, and resourcefulness to support the program, its mission, and goals, and represents the program with a customer service mindset.
