About The Position

The ESL and DL instructor will play an essential role in helping refugee clients to reach their digital literacy and English proficiency goals by designing and delivering ESL and ESL-Digital Literacy classes. This role involves conducting activities and lessons based on established teaching methodologies, teaching all classes according to an approved course syllabus, and designing and teaching basic digital literacy classes. The instructor will focus on maximizing students’ speaking time through oral tests and presentations, displaying excellent classroom management, and keeping accurate records of student performance. Additionally, the role requires maintaining standardized guidelines, participating in and contributing to team meetings, and performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or 2 years experience teaching ESL required.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience working in a non-profit or government setting.
• Previous experience working with immigrants or refugees with limited English proficiency.
• Previous experience teaching ESL.
