Bechtel is a global engineering, construction, and project management firm with a tradition of technical excellence in supporting multiple industries and mega-projects that have significant complexity. We have helped customers complete more than 25,000 projects in 160 countries on all seven continents that have created jobs, grown economies, improved the resilience of the world's infrastructure, increased access to energy, resources, and vital services, and made the world a safer, cleaner place. Core to Bechtel are our values – ethics, safety, quality, people, culture, relationships, innovation and sustainability, and our covenants – integrity, respect, collaboration, trust, and delivery. Bechtel has a strong commitment to protecting people and the environment as part of its mission, and is known for industry leadership in Environmental, Safety, and Health (ESH). ESH teams are comprised of three distinct disciplines that support our ESH Management System and processes at project sites and offices. These teams include environmental scientists, safety specialists, and industrial hygiene scientists. Collectively, they provide technical guidance and perform planning, risk assessment, inspections and monitoring, training, and data management. The ESH Services Manager is responsible for overseeing the implementation of a comprehensive ESH program on a major project by leading a team of ESH professionals to deliver technical services across the project. Key responsibilities encompass both technical and administrative aspects, including compliance activities, personnel management, and the implementation and maintenance of policies, plans, procedures, systems, and processes across all ESH disciplines. This role requires execution of both administrative and field tasks in alignment with established industry standards, internal procedures, and applicable regulatory and Bechtel requirements. The position reports directly to the Project ESH Manager. Work requires physical ability for field inspections, including walking on construction sites in extreme heat or humidity, climbing ladders and scaffolding, working at heights or on uneven surfaces, and entering confined spaces. Must be able to wear assigned PPE (e.g., harness, life vest, gloves, etc.).
