Kayne Anderson Rudnick Investment Management is seeking a highly motivated and exceptional student, to join our Investment team as an ESG Intern. The successful candidate will work as part of a growth-focused investment team in spearheading its Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategy. This opportunity will be 8-10 weeks and will be in our Los Angeles office

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree (rising junior or senior preferred).
  • An understanding of asset management industry and an interest in sustainability.
  • Self-starter with strong analytical and writing skills.
  • Knowledge of financial markets with a preferred focus on equities.
  • Clear, eloquent communicator with an ability to collaborate effectively and interact at all levels of an organization.
  • A detail-oriented individual who is highly organized with the ability to synthesize large amounts of data effectively.
  • Ability to engage in both quantitative analysis and qualitative due diligence.
  • Familiarity with financial statements and other company reported disclosures.
  • Experience with the full Microsoft Office Suite of products.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting company-level ESG analysis to augment our existing investment process.
  • Assisting in the development of internally generated ESG scores based on financially material sustainability risks and opportunities.
  • Monitoring and ensuring compliance with ESG regulations and standards across all investment activities.
  • Creating reporting and portfolio assessments utilizing ESG management software for all products and producing ongoing reports that incorporate various data including ESG ratings and specific reporting disclosures.
  • Identifying positive impact externalities within the Impact-Aligned strategy and creating company-level impact reports identifying these themes.
