Tri Pointe Assurance Escrow, the California title and escrow affiliate of Tri Pointe Homes, is looking for an experienced individual to join our talented group in California as an Escrow Closer. The Escrow Closer is responsible for pre-working files, and the Closing Disclosure Statement draft requests received through a centralized work queue. Striving to meet established production levels throughout a multi-state organization. Maintaining open lines of communication with Lenders, Escrow branch, Title department, and Builder regarding questions and/or potential issues.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • A minimum of 2 years of related experience as an Escrow Officer or Closer required
  • Strong experience with the Closing Disclosure and Settlement Statement and regulatory requirements required
  • Understanding of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the escrow/title industry required
  • Strong computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office and title software applications required
  • Customer service focused with both internal and external team members
  • Detail-oriented and able to multi-task for a multi-state department required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Must be organized and efficient
  • Team player

Responsibilities

  • Closing Disclosure (CD) and Settlement Statement (SS) workup for Multiple States as needed
  • Monitor Closings e-mail inbox for new CD requests and updates requested by Lender
  • Monitor Calendars for new files that need to be pre-worked and make adjustments to the calendar accordingly
  • Adjust prorations for taxes, HOA’s, and other miscellaneous items once a set date has been confirmed
  • Adjust numbers on CD and SS according to instructions received by parties, Lender & Escrow Officer
  • Balance with Lender to funding amounts and Buyer’s cash to close
  • Keep track of the conversations between lender and closing specialist to note any potential changes that need to be made
  • Other processing department duties as assigned, for example, but not limited to: opening contracts, requesting title commitments, communicating with closing coordinators, quoting initial fees, e-mailing title commitments to corresponding parties, fulfilling full title requests, re-directing e-mails to appropriate parties, order HOA Statements and uploading documents that come into any of our work queues.
