About The Position

Food Bank for the Heartland is seeking an ERP Systems Analyst to join their IT team. This role is crucial as the subject matter expert for the organization’s enterprise platforms, specifically focusing on NetSuite (ERP) and WAERlinx (warehouse management system). The Analyst will be responsible for ensuring these systems are correctly configured, documented, and optimized to support daily operations. This involves working collaboratively with internal teams, external vendors, and the IT Director to drive process improvements, resolve system issues, and implement effective solutions that align with business requirements.

  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Two or more years of experience administering or supporting ERP or other enterprise business systems.
  • Experience analyzing business processes, gathering requirements, testing system changes, troubleshooting issues, and supporting users.
  • Working knowledge of system data structures, relational data concepts, integrations, and reporting tools.
  • Experience coordinating system support cases or projects with vendors, contractors, or managed service providers.

Nice To Haves

  • NetSuite experience is preferred.
  • Experience in a nonprofit, warehouse, logistics, or distribution environment is preferred.
  • Lived experience with the impacts of systemic racism or marginalization is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary administrator for NetSuite and WAERlinx, managing system settings, workflows, fields, forms, and other configurations.
  • Administer and review user accounts, roles, and permissions according to security requirements.
  • Monitor system performance and data integrity, addressing or escalating identified issues.
  • Maintain, develop, and enhance operational reports, dashboards, workbooks, and saved searches.
  • Stay updated on system functionality, data structures, integrations, and dependencies through vendor resources and training.
  • Analyze current business processes and user needs to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Evaluate potential solutions and assess their impact on users, processes, and system configurations.
  • Translate business needs into documented requirements, process maps, test scenarios, and acceptance criteria.
  • Recommend appropriate responses to business needs, which may include training, process changes, system configuration, or vendor support.
  • Collaborate with the IT Director to review recommendations and determine priorities.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for questions and issues related to NetSuite, WAERlinx, and other assigned enterprise platforms.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues, or coordinate escalation to vendors, contractors, or the managed service provider.
  • Provide Tier 2 support for general IT issues when advanced troubleshooting or urgent in-person assistance is required.
  • Configure, test, and implement approved system changes, coordinating user testing.
  • Review vendor releases, assess potential effects, and test applicable updates.
  • Monitor integrations and scheduled processes, investigating failures.
  • Coordinate data imports, exports, and transformations.
  • Maintain documentation of system configurations, business processes, integrations, and changes.
  • Maintain a log of issues, resolutions, and system changes.
  • Create user instructions, provide training, and assist with day-to-day system questions.
  • Facilitate cross-functional systems meetings, including preparing agendas, documenting decisions, and tracking action items.
  • Coordinate departmental meetings as needed.
  • Coordinate communication and follow-up among users, department representatives, vendors, and IT.
  • Participate in system-related and cross-functional IT projects, including requirements gathering, testing, and implementation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice.
