ERP Lead

BLOX LLC•Bessemer, AL

About The Position

BLOX is seeking a hands-on ERP Lead to own and advance Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (BC), which connects the company’s finance, supply chain, manufacturing, and project accounting operations. In BLOX’s integrated Design Manufacture – Construct (DMC) model, BC supports material purchasing, module production, and cost tracking across active construction projects. This is a permanent role combining solution architecture and practical system ownership. The ERP Lead will design solutions, configure BC, and guide the system as BLOX grows. Reporting to the Director of Technology, the role works with leaders and stakeholders across the business to shape processes through technical expertise and collaboration. The position may grow to include building and leading a small ERP/BC team. BLOX provides comprehensive benefits, supports employees pursuing licenses and certifications, and is committed to equal employment opportunity and an inclusive workplace.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of Business Central or Dynamics NAV solution design and implementation experience.
  • Proven ability to configure BC across finance, supply chain, manufacturing, and project/job accounting.
  • Strong understanding of BC development concepts, including AL and extensions, and ability to direct developers effectively.
  • Background in business process design, emphasizing out-of-the-box ERP functionality.
  • Experience in high-growth or dynamic environments where systems evolve quickly.
  • Familiarity with compliance contexts, including SOX IT general controls (ITGC) and audit readiness.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to influence stakeholders and drive adoption.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship, now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting ERP in a manufacturing, construction, or engineer-to-order environment.
  • Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Business Central Functional Consultant Associate (MB-800) or equivalent.
  • Experience with Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps) and BC integrations through APIs.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Accounting, Business, or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the solution architect and hands-on owner of Business Central, accountable for its design, configuration, and overall health.
  • Configure BC to align with finance, supply chain, manufacturing, and project accounting processes.
  • Translate business requirements into efficient, scalable solutions, prioritizing out-of-the-box functionality before customization.
  • Direct light development efforts using AL and extensions when configuration alone is insufficient, including scoping work and reviewing output from internal or partner developers.
  • Document BC standards, configurations, and workflows to support user adoption, compliance, and audit readiness.
  • Partner with stakeholders across design, manufacturing, construction, and finance, influencing process design through expertise and collaboration.
  • Collaborate with the WEVR Solution Architect on integrations between BC and the manufacturing execution system (MES), the WEVR platform, and Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Train and support users to maximize adoption and effective use of BC.
  • Stay current on the BC product roadmap and release waves, and communicate relevant updates and impacts to stakeholders.
  • Contribute to BLOX’s longer-term ERP maturity, with the potential to build and lead a small ERP/BC team as the company scales.
