Your primary goal is to translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions that drive operational efficiency. As a Business Process Analyst, you must understand the ERP system's technical constraints while working with the business on best practices for business process efficiency. • Strong knowledge of product costing methods (including actual costing), with complementary expertise in upstream production execution as well as broad finance functions.
  • Solid understanding of key master data elements and their relationships influencing those processes.
  • Full understanding of the specific functional area system set up or configuration and its impact on the data and behavior of that respective module. (For example, Project Management and related Cost Management in MS Dynamics terms.)

  • Ability to see how a change in one module (e.g., Inventory) impacts another (e.g., Finance).
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex concepts or "tech-speak" into plain English for stakeholders and vice versa.
  • A proactive approach to solving diverse types of issues including system, business process, and data integrity issues.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or other technical fields, such as Engineering.
  • 10+ years of combined experience in the above functional areas in either business and/or IT roles, including business analysis, requirements management, and ERP solution design (Microsoft Dynamics preferred; SAP or other ERP system is acceptable)

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience implementing ERP systems in a capital equipment manufacturing environment
  • Direct experience with Microsoft Dynamics ERP implementations
  • Deep understanding of Business Process Reengineering (BPR) and Lean methodologies
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification for continuous process improvement

Responsibilities

  • Understand "As-Is" workflows and design "To-Be" processes that leverage ERP standard functionalities to eliminate manual work and promote business best practices.
  • Lead sessions to define business functional requirements and scope.
  • In partnership with the broader IT organization, support the full lifecycle of ERP, including functional system configuration, data migration, and system integration.
  • Identify discrepancies between business needs and system capabilities; recommend "out-of-the-box" solutions vs. custom enhancements as the preferred method, where possible.
  • Develop ERP-related business process flows and test scripts to ensure the system meets business criteria.
  • Support the development of training materials for ongoing deployments of the ERP system.
  • Act as a subject matter expert to train end-users and create documentation that ensures high adoption rates.
