About The Position

Guidehouse is seeking a highly skilled ERP Assessment Lead with a strong background in program and project management to join a high profile, complex financial modernization project. This person would be responsible for advising the State’s program executive and prescribing direction. Overseeing vendors and state staff to make sure the state’s direction is executed, measured, and reported. This role will be responsible for the state’s end‑to‑end product strategy and product accountability. Serve as the state’s lead responsible for translating executive objectives into an integrated strategy, roadmap, and product‑level decisions, while ensuring alignment across oversight, delivery, and stakeholder workstreams. Will be a part of a larger program team that is accountable for delivering a successful program turnaround with clearly defined budget, timing, and quality metrics.

Requirements

  • Requires a bachelors degree from an accredited university.
  • Minimum of TEN (10)+ years of overall work experience.
  • Experience in consulting, including large public‑sector ERP or transformation programs.
  • Prior ownership of product, functional, or capability domains on enterprise programs.
  • Experience leading planning efforts, roadmaps, or operating model design.
  • Strong executive‑facing presence with ability to drive decisions under ambiguity.
  • Ability to analyze, and identify program task needs, work through complex issues, and communicate effectively problem solving, and providing solutions to critical tasks and meet high priority deadlines.
  • Experience supporting large, complex systems implementation and modernization projects as a program or project management analyst; ideally financial management system modernizations.

Responsibilities

  • Advising the State’s program executive and prescribing direction.
  • Overseeing vendors and state staff to make sure the state’s direction is executed, measured, and reported.
  • Serving as the state’s lead responsible for translating executive objectives into an integrated strategy, roadmap, and product‑level decisions, while ensuring alignment across oversight, delivery, and stakeholder workstreams.
  • Developing comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Identifying and mitigating project risks and issues.
  • Maintaining complete line of sight across program activities and being able to speak to the status of each initiative.
  • Supporting the management and tracking of project schedule, budget, risk, quality, scope, and other key program management areas for a portfolio of projects.
  • Identifying and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) from clients and monitoring progress against KPIs over the entirety of the program.
  • Creating various forms of status reports, including weekly status reports for core project team members and executive level reports for executive steering committees.
  • Simultaneously managing disparate tasks in a fast-moving, complex environment.
  • Preparing and presenting written communications, project plans, status reports, and briefing materials.
  • Monitoring, tracking, and reporting on the status of various project requests related to financial management modernization.
