About The Position

The Erection Foreman supervises a crew of up to 10 employees, ensuring projects are completed safely and efficiently. This role involves reading and interpreting plans, managing material lists, and adhering to timelines. The Foreman is responsible for conducting safety meetings, operating various equipment, and ensuring the proper installation of precast units within specified tolerances. Additionally, the role includes training and supervising crew members, enforcing safety policies, managing paperwork, and maintaining a clean work environment.

Requirements

  • Must be able to read crane charts.
  • Must have working knowledge of grade level & transit instruments and calculating elevations.
  • Must be qualified to operate aerial lifts, and skid-loaders.
  • Must have knowledge of precast products and be able to erect precast units within PCI tolerances.
  • Must have 30 hours OSHA training.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises a crew of up to 10 employees.
  • Reads and follows plans, material lists, and guidelines and applies necessary timelines.
  • Conducts regular and tailgate safety meetings.
  • Reads crane charts.
  • Has working knowledge of grade level & transit instruments and calculating elevations.
  • Qualified to operate aerial lifts, and skid-loaders.
  • Has knowledge of precast products and is able to erect precast units within PCI tolerances.
  • Fulfills all regular and advanced installation/construction duties, including project layout.
  • Completes required paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Organizes, supervises, leads, and trains employees to complete projects within established guidelines and time frames.
  • Enforces all company safety policies and procedures and safety requirements, including crewmember discipline and documentation.
  • Submits crew members’ timesheets to payroll by deadline.
  • Attends branch operation meetings as required.
  • Adheres to all Metromont and OSHA safety rules and regulations.
  • Maintains work area, tools, and equipment in a clean and orderly manner (housekeeping).
