About The Position

The Erection Foreman supervises a crew of up to 10 employees, ensuring projects are completed within established guidelines and time frames. This role involves reading and following plans, material lists, and guidelines, conducting safety meetings, and performing installation/construction duties. The Foreman is responsible for organizing, supervising, leading, and training employees, as well as enforcing all company safety policies and procedures. Additionally, the role requires managing paperwork, submitting timesheets, and maintaining a clean work area.

Requirements

  • Must be able to read crane charts.
  • Must have working knowledge of grade level & transit instruments and calculating elevations.
  • Must be qualified to operate aerial lifts, and skid-loaders.
  • Must have knowledge of precast products and be able to erect precast units within PCI tolerances.
  • Must have 30hours OSHA training.
  • Must adhere to all Metromont and OSHA safety rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises a crew of up to 10 employees.
  • Reads and follows plans, material lists, and guidelines and applies necessary timelines.
  • Conducts regular and tailgate safety meetings.
  • Must be able to read crane charts.
  • Must have working knowledge of grade level & transit instruments and calculating elevations.
  • Must be qualified to operate aerial lifts, and skid-loaders.
  • Must have knowledge of precast products and be able to erect precast units within PCI tolerances.
  • Fulfills all regular and advanced installation/construction duties, including project layout, and completes required paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Organizes, supervises, leads, and trains employees to complete projects within established guidelines and time frames.
  • Enforces all company safety policies and procedures and safety requirements, including crewmember discipline and documentation.
  • Submits crew members’ timesheets to payroll by deadline.
  • Attends branch operation meetings as required.
  • Must have 30hours OSHA training.
  • Must adhere to all Metromont and OSHA safety rules and regulations.
  • Housekeeping as necessary to maintain work area, tools, and equipment in a clean and orderly manner.
