About The Position

The ERT performs selected patient care tasks, under the direction of a licensed nurse, to assist in the delivery of patient care. She/he also performs, when necessary, clerical duties and assists the Emergency Center staff in maintaining records and completing reports. He/she coordinates communications between Emergency Center staff, the patient, and interdisciplinary departments. Is accountable for all patient care she/he gives in the Emergency Center. Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Current NC CNA listing
  • Current CPR
  • AEGIS De Escalation Training within 3 months of Hire
  • Basic computer and Internet Explorer skills.
  • Demonstrates excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Diplomacy, tact, and a positive approach to problem solving are required to be successful.
  • Organizational skills are a must.
  • Fosters a teamwork environment.
  • Must be able to communicate with patients, customers, other departments, and staff in an articulate manner.

Nice To Haves

  • One year experience in hospital setting, preferably critical care
