The Emergency Department (ED) treats an average of more than 160 patients per day, including acute cardiovascular and neurovascular emergencies, general medical emergencies, traumatic injuries, and psychiatric patients. The department is recognized by the American Heart Association as both a STEMI receiving center and a designated Primary Stroke Center. Patients treated range from neonate to geriatric. An extensive orientation program allows emergency nurses to work autonomously with a wide range of clinical specialties. The ED fosters high levels of teamwork and collaboration with a multi-disciplinary group of professionals. New graduates with appropriate training and background are welcomed.
