About The Position
This position requires a Registered Nurse who will be responsible for providing direct patient care in the Emergency Room. The role involves making critical decisions related to patient care, requiring close attention to detail, alertness, and skill, especially in emergency situations. The work involves both sitting and standing, with moderate walking, and may require periods of physical exertion and stamina. Proper body mechanics are essential for lifting and transferring patients.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Indiana.
- Current BLS/CPR certification.
- Competent in ECG rhythm strip interpretation.
- Must be ACLS and PALS trained or obtain within one year from hire.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Room.
- Make pertinent decisions in relation to patient care.
- Demonstrate resourcefulness in emergency situations.
- Utilize good body mechanics when lifting and transferring patients.
